I was born in a small rural village in Northern Italy. My early memories are of my grandfather, a farmer, who taught me how to observe and learn from the place you live in. His was a simple life in contact with nature and its seasonal variations throughout the ever-changing present.
My art process strives to connect these experiences through emotional snapshots painted to keep those memories alive, in order to fix them forever. Like dancing clouds modulate the sunlight affecting the landscape, my emotions harmonise the colours of my paintings.
There are no hard to grasp conceptual meanings, I paint to remember, to fix a sensation, to snapshot ‘that’ memory I’d like to share with you.
I hope you like what you see and if by any chance one of these freshly painted emotions coincide with yours, feel free to make it your own.
