Hedge

As I strolled through Weston Turville in Buckinghamshire, I was taken aback by the fields divided by a hedge, where birds were chirping a symphony of sound. The hedge was highlighted by the sun in front of me, creating an incredible contrast of colours in the fields. The newly ploughed soil in one field was rich in red and orange hues, while the other was covered in lush green grass.

Inspired by the beauty around me, I set out to capture the scene in a painting. Using oils, I blended colours to create the striking contrast of the reddish browns and verdant greens. The crystal-clear sky was the perfect backdrop, and I meticulously worked to bring depth and dimension to the hedge, using light and shadow to enhance the atmosphere.

"Hedge" is a tribute to the natural world and demonstrates the power of observation and creativity. The complementary colours of red, orange, and green add an extra layer of vibrancy to the painting, creating a sense of peace and serenity that is sure to bring joy to anyone who views it.
