The Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire are a sight to behold, especially from Coombe Hill. I was mesmerized by the dramatic scene of rain and light that day, and I knew I had to capture it on canvas.
The escarpment of the Chilterns overlooks the Vale of Aylesbury, a reminder of the Anglian glacial maximum that formed the Chalk Group of southern England millions of years ago. The White Cliffs of Dover are a testament to this ancient history, and I am so grateful to have the Chiltern Hills in my backyard.
