Reservoir

I recently completed this painting on board, capturing the stunning beauty of the Weston Turville Reservoir in the Chiltern Hills. The smooth surface of the panel provides a perfect backdrop for the subtle interplay of light and colour that characterises this breathtaking landscape. The ever-changing weather patterns of the hills are reflected in the water of the reservoir, creating a mesmerising visual display that is both calming and invigorating. Through my painting, I aimed to capture the essence of this beautiful scene, using a palette of soft blues, greens, and earth tones to convey a sense of serenity and natural wonder. The repetition of painting this subject matter has allowed me to deepen my appreciation of the natural world and the power of art to capture its beauty.
