Stickle Tarn

As an artist, I strive to capture the essence of the natural world in my paintings, and my oil painting of Stickle Tarn in the Lake District is no exception. I've always been drawn to the beauty of the region, and this particular view of the landscape holds a special place in my heart.

The interplay of light and shadow created by the clouds infuses the scene with a tonalistic quality that I found particularly captivating. I took great care in depicting the verdant green hills in the background and the blue of the sky peeking through the clouds, evoking the sense of peacefulness that I feel when I'm in this idyllic setting.

One of my favourite elements of this painting is the reflection of the sky on the water's surface, with a passage between the reflected sky and the rocks at the bottom of the lake. This detail adds depth and dimension to the piece, bringing the serene landscape to life.
