The Brecon Beacons, a summer view from afar of this characteristic hills in this lovely region of South Wales. I’ve been there only once but cherish the lovely memories of this journey.

As a geologist, the two summits (Pen y Fan and Corn Du) consist of a plateau of Devonian Old Red Sandstone overlying the older Grey Grits Formation and are part of the Variscan orogeny (mountain building).
