Wow! It’s been more than four years since my last post on this scrapbook. I’ve been very busy with a lot of different things and to be honest I did not manage to paint much at all. Let alone paint daily.

Oh well! In the meantime though, here’s what I’ve been doing: I finished my BSc (Honour) in Natural Sciences (focusing on geology and astrophysics) with a 2.1 at the Open University followed by an MSc in Earth Science with Distinction (yeah, clever me!) with a project on satellite observation of iceberg B-15. The largest one since the record began. I investigated its effects on primary production (if you’re interested here’s a copy of it). According to the Open University’s Code of Practice for Student Discipline (1.2d) and in order to avoid plagiarism, the project is no longer available for download. Apologies to the Open University for the genuine mistake.

W Studio

My new insight into geology will definitely help in my future artistic endeavours. I have lots of new ideas about paintings of different types of rocks and geological features and I will try to share my newfound knowledge and passion with you all.

During the Covid-19 lockdown, I built my new studio

So, now I don’t have any excuse for missing my daily painting routine, which I intend to restart soon. I’m still putting a few finishing touches here and there – i.e. electricity – and other little things.

Please reach out if you want to exchange a few words with me.
